Gabriela is an emerging Chicago-based contemporary artist working primarily in oil with a focus on still lifes and portraits. After studying film, she has used this experience and education when composing her work. Her art features vibrant colors, dramatic light and shadows, shallow depths of field, and strong forms. Gabriela creates paintings to reflect on moments of transition and to celebrate the quieter moments in life.
